American born artist Kathy
Christian paints the animals that have become a part of her life. She believes
each animal has emotions, a specific personality and often a definite
sense of
humour. Her detailed work is done in
gouache, watercolour and coloured pencil.
Now
permanently residing on a farm in Victoria, Kathy also runs
"Outlaw Kelpie stud". In the USA
awards included the Bay Meadows Jockey Club Award two years running for
the best painting of a race horse. In Australia
her work can be seen on utes everywhere as the artist for the infamous
Bluey’s Ute logo of a Blue Heeler wearing sunnies with utes reflected in
them, and in the recent past some of her artwork was exhibited in the Moree
Gallery in NSW.
