Bernard Arends returned to Outlaw Kelpie Stud on September 8th and 9th 2007 to lead another training school. It was an educational weekend for all involved and a great success. More details coming so check back soon!

On June 16th and 17th, 2007 Outlaw Kelpie Stud hosted a working dog training school with New Zealander Bernard Arends. Bernard has a fascinating approach to working dogs and all that attended benefited greatly. The weather was ideal for working dogs and the rain and wind held off until Sunday night. Fourteen handlers participated with their Border Collies and Kelpies and one German Shepherd. Bernard and his partner Maree are great folks and made an enjoyable educational weekend.

Much emphasis was placed on getting the dog to pace themselves on the stock and not push all the time. All the dogs worked showed a vast improvement after the two days tutoring under Bernard's experienced hand.
